PLCβ 2 binds to Gα 16 via the α2-β4-α3-β5 regions that are distinct from the β3 domain required by TPR1. (A-B) HEK 293 cells were co-transfected with PLCβ2 and the wild-type or constitutively active mutants of Gα16, N188, N200, N210 (A), C164, C174, or C186 (B). Cell lysates were immunoprecipitated with anti-Gα16 or anti-PLCβ2 antisera and analyzed as described in Figure 2. Data shown represent one of three sets of immunoblots; two other sets yielded similar results.
