CMP 2 occupies the same site as MEcPP. An overlay of the Ec IspF product complex and Bc IspF:CMP 2. CMP 2 binds in a similar site as MEcPP and also coordinates Zn2+. The α2-α3 loop at one side of the binding site (Ec IspF: Phe61-Ser73; Bc IspF: Phe63-Ser75) adopts a different conformation.
