The cartoon diagram shows that side chains of Thr-46, Leu-52, Phe-71, and Ile-87 form a highly conserved core among the Rieske oxygenase ferredoxins near the iron-sulfur cluster. The residues flanking Pro-82 are proline in BPDO-FLB400 and some high-potential Rieske ferredoxins, but are not proline in BPDO-FB1.
