The distribution is well-fit by an extreme value distribution (Eq. (6)) with parameters μ = 23.07 and β = 8.45 (solid line). By examining the cumulative distribution (dashed line), the fit is used to find surface points that lie within the upper 96% of the distribution; these points are used to predict functional sites.
