(a) d1f4sp_(red) and d2alca_(cyan) (sequence identity = 86%, Ω = 0.30) are the DNA-binding domain of an ethanol regulon transcription factor. The former is DNA bound and the latter is in an unbound state. (b) d1deca_(red) and d1hrti_(blue) (sequence identity = 20%, Ω = 0.21) are the anti-coagulants domains. The structure of the former is derived as an independent domain through solution NMR, while the latter is the part of a complex structure, which was determined through X-ray diffraction. (c) Two variants (d1vgha_ and d2vgha_) of an anti-coagulant heparin binding domain possess high sequence identity.
