The main steps of the algorithm executed by Structuprint. Here, a mould of the surface of the 3D structure of the leporine serum albumin ([PDB: 4F5V]) is first generated. The property values (e.g., charge) of the amino acids below the mould are retained. Then, the dummy atoms consisting the mould are mapped onto a sphere. Finally, the sphere is projected onto a map using the Miller cylindrical transformation and a smoothing of the property values is performed.
